The incessant and ever-increasing demand for magnetic drives in the pharmaceutical and food industry made it necessary for us to develop our own drive concept.
Our newly developed magnetic drives are available in various materials, including those completely made of stainless steel.
The surfaces can be adapted to individual conditions as well as to the requirements of our customers. Glass bead blasted or polished surfaces are not a problem.
The standard design is IP65-protected and food-safe (food-safe materials).
It is possible to select standard vibration frequencies between 25 Hz and 50 Hz for the magnetic drives. Other vibration frequencies can also be provided upon request.
The relevant controllers can be delivered in protection classes IP20 and IP54. Delivery in protection class IP65 is also possible upon request.
Heckmann has been commissioned by a major confectionery manufacturer in Germany to supply a total of 12 dosing channels for filling weighing systems.
The limited spatial conditions were a particular challenge.
Other requirements included a high standard of hygiene and a product with a tendency to stick to surfaces.
Moreover, the machines were to emit as few vibrations as possible, to prevent the neighbouring scales from being affected.
We decided to construct the dosing channels using the Vicon V design, with a variable speed magnetic drive.
In this case, the trough is fastened to a flexibly mounted frame.
The frame was designed to ensure that >98% of vibrations would be isolated.
Both the trough and the frame had been hygienically constructed and manufactured. Stainless steel was exclusively used as a material.
To prevent the product from sticking to the trough, the areas which came into contact with the product were designed with embossed sheets.
Heckmann was commissioned by a notable coffee roasting company to provide a vibrating conveyor which ensured that the product would be evenly coated.
Other requirements included a high standard of hygiene, and easy access to the parts which came into contact with the product, to facilitate the cleaning of the machine.
The machine also had to be dust-tight and must not emit any disruptive vibrations to the supporting construction.
The machine was constructed using the Vicon V design, with a magnetic drive.
The frame was designed to ensure that >98% of vibrations would be isolated.
This design made the nozzles and the entire machine freely accessible from the top and sides.
This enabled us to meet demands for changing nozzles quickly, and cleaning areas which came into contact with the product quickly.
